this record’s three years old and it still stands head and shoulders above the growing glut of chill-y, haunt-y stuff being done and re-done and done to death right now. it’s agitated and brimming with black humour, which for me pushes it beyond simple nostalgia or hazy fx-pedal fetishism. let’s hope for more from him soon.
